The New Look Knicks

With the acquisition of Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani, it seems they bolstered their bench dramatically. World Peace will probably be their starting small forward which shifts Carmelo Anthony to the power forward position. It would be tough for others to guard Anthony meanwhile he'll have tougher defenders such as David West or Blake Griffin when they're matched up. The New York Knicks need Carmelo Anthony on the floor for them to score. No question. This means Raymond Felton and Iman Shumpert must improve on their range as Anthony goes for the kick-out in double teams. World Peace is a decent spotup shooter who doesn't need the ball in his hands. Mike Woodson has kept the main players intact.

I'm confusing of Amare Stoudimire's position. Why are they still keeping him on the team if his agent told the team he's on a twenty minute limit. Spending on a player over ten million annually shouldn't be benchwarming. It would be interesting to see what the Knicks are going to do when they are over the cap space. Leave comments below.

Risky Picks for Fantasy Owners

The followers players has high rewards and at the same time HIGH RISKS. Keep in mind, I'm not telling you what's going to happen, I'm going to tell you that if you pick them, injuries might pop up or other problems they might have that leaves them off the court.

Kyrie Irving - we know what he can do on the court but can he stay healthy all 82 games?

Derrick Rose - how will Rose play as passive or aggressive after his first serious injury?

Russell Westbrook - fresh off of his injury, how will Westbrook respond?

Kobe Bryant - he's a warrior and that's a fact. I believe he will be ready for the start of the season just because he is Kobe Bryant. I think he will be back better than the injury he had just prior to the playoffs. He loves the game too much to notice about his health. We need you to be healthy first Kobe, then you can go back on the court.

Demarcus Cousins - he's a freak athlete for his size who can handle the ball. But can he keep his mouth shut? Because of his silly plays, it cost him a few games and it cost me a few wins in my fantasy league. We need you to behave yourself and most importantly, I need you to behave so I can pick you up again because the team needs you to produce on any given day.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

What if... Jeremy Lin was picked up by the Lakers?

What if Lin was a Laker right now? If his success landed on the Los Angeles Lakers, would he have had as much attention as he would on the Knicks? Think about it. Running the show alongside Kobe Bryant and two 7 footers. They would probably go deep into the playoffs meanwhile the Knicks would have gone downwards without Lin running the offense. Reality-wise, he is on the Knicks putting on a show in front of homecrowd and on the road. How long will this last?

How much pressure is there on Jeremy Lin?

When people interviewed Jeremy Lin, he must've had pressure being center of attention. But instead he believes the media should be focused on the whole Knicks team and organization. Even though the Knicks played with no stars on their five game winning streak, they played as a team and that's what matters most at this point. Lin credited his performance from the help of his teammates especially Jared Jefferies, Iman Shumpert, Landry Fields, and let's not forget Steve Novak, who has connected over 63 percent of his threes during their five game winning streak. Poised and humble as Lin is, what will happen after the season is over? Will the New York Knicks resign him or move in another direction?

Who needs Opportunity?

With opportunity and persistence, Jeremy Lin stepped up at the right moment where the he needed the Knicks and more importantly, the Knicks needed him. With a year and a half waiting and playing backup along Monte Ellis and  Stephon Curry, Jeremy Lin was waived off of the Golden State Warriors and later on his career, the Houston Rockets. Fortunately, the Knicks saw something in Jeremy Lin and decided to fill up their last roster spot with him. Who would’ve known on the first game of the season, Iman Shumpert was going to be injured. Signing Baron Davis was key but his condition wasn’t ready to run the Knicks. Toney Douglass had to run the point for the first few games which looking at the stat sheets, Carmelo Anthony was doing most of the dishing. Needless to say, injuries and opportunity allowed Jeremy Lin playing time and took advantage. He led the Knicks to a four game winning streak. I know what other people are saying out there but I believe there are players out there like him if giving the time, can produce points and wins for their team.

Take C.J. Watson. We know he’s a shoot first point guard. But if he’s surrounded with stars, it allows him to score and hand out assists to his wide open teammates because he can penetrate through the lane like any aggressive PGs when they are healthy. On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls do have Derrick Rose, last NBA seasons MVP, so his time on the court will be limited. Due to a back problem Rose is currently having, Watson can run the show for couple of more games until Rose comes back from his injury which is important to watch out considering the shortened 66 games.
